#NowIsTheTime
Keeping children safe is the responsibility of adults. However, one of the most difficult topics to talk to children about is SEXUAL ABUSE. Most adults feel ill-equipped to discuss such a sensitive, deemed-to-be complex and tabooed topic with young children.
Various studies and interventions suggest that children who receive Personal Safety Education demonstrate improved knowledge about what they can do if they are in unsafe situations.
The good news is that some organisations have spent decades working on the issue of Child Sexual Abuse and have created groundbreaking, age-appropriate resources to assist parents, teachers and adults in their endeavour to teach children Personal Safety.
If you haven’t spoken to your child about Personal Safety , Online Safety or about unsafe touches & situations, then #NowIsTheTime to do it.
